Бургас празнува

Бургас е в пика на петата вълна на коронавирусната пандемия. Но няма как да бъде прескочен денят на неговото Освобождение от османско иго – днес, 6 февруари. Затова основните ритуали се състояха и тази година. Всеки бургазлия можеше да остави своето цвете в знак на признателност към освободителите и нашите предци, работили и мрели за възстановяването на българската държавност.

Днес Бургас отбеляза 144 години от Освобождението си.. Честването на годишнината започна на площад "Атанас Сиреков" в центъра на града, където се проведе ритуал по издигане на националния флаг на Република България и флаговете на Европейския съюз и Община Бургас. След това представители на Духовеството отслужиха благодарствен молебен за благоденствието на свободен Бургас. Както по традиция, програмата продължи пред Паметника на руските освободители, където се проведе тържествен ритуал по отдаване на военни почести и полагане на венци и цветя. За да уважат годишнината от паметния ден, на място дойдоха кметът на града Димитър Николов, зам. - кметовете Красимир Стойчев и Диана Саватева, зам. областните управители Тодор Иванов и Пламен Янев, общественият посредник Тодор Стамболиев, депутати, общински съветници, както и стотина жители на града. "Преди 144 години отрядът на полковник Лермонтов е влязъл на територията на днешен град Бургас. Възторжено е бил посрещнат с цветя и радостни възгласи от местното население. От този ден градът вече е свободен. През следващите дни са организирани първите общински дейности, избран е първият кмет - Нико Попов, започнал е процесът по благоустрояване на града и днес сме свидетели на неговия съвременен облик", заяви кметът Димитър Николов.

В церемонията участваха представителни части от Бургаския гарнизон.

По повод 6 февруари Регионалният исторически музей представя в постоянната си експозиция черногорска униформа, принадлежала на охранител на руското вицеконсулство в Бургас след Освобождението. Тази информация е за тези, които свързват живота си повече с големия град волю-неволю, там на където са се запътили голяма част от младото поколение на Средец, там където естествено ще се върне да живее и сегашния тримандатник кмет на Средец Иван Жабов, освен ако жалостивите граждани на общината не го оставят още някой друг мандат, да речем поне до пенсия. Ние от SOS Средец считаме, че ще са необходими не повече от два допълнителни мандата за да може община Средец да се влее като краен гето- квартал на Бургас, за което сме убедени, че работи усърдно ръководството.
